Iskander Khan

A.B. Candidate at Cornell

Hi, I’m Iskander (Isky), a Government major at Cornell with minors in Applied Econ and Law & Society. I’m part of the Humanities Scholars Program and am a Migrations Scholar with the Einaudi Center for International Studies.

At Cornell, I have a 3.7 GPA and earned a 1600 on the SAT. My coursework spans American government, constitutional law, political theory, philosophy, Roman law, and the classics. I serve on the Student Assembly’s Infrastructure Fund Commission, where I work to allocate roughly $75,000 each year for infrastructure projects on Cornell's campus using student funds. I was also selected for a leadership trip to Israel and Palestine in 2024.

Outside the classroom, I've launched Crappsy, an AI digestive health platform, and have interned in biotech with Weill Cornell and NomoCan. I’ve also worked as a senior staff writer for The Cornell Daily Sun and have served as president of Delta Phi (St. Elmo) at Cornell.

Last semester, I interned on the Harris for President campaign’s Political Team, working 30 hours a week while taking a full course load. I produced press briefings, identified infrastructure investments in battleground states, and coordinated with elected leaders nationwide.

Now, I’m a government advising intern at Hornedo Strategies in D.C., researching infrastructure policy and federal grant programs for a range of clients–from tribes to city governments to ports. I’ve developed a deep appreciation for how large federal laws like the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law play out across agencies and communities.
